Welcome to the Meadow 🌿

Hello! Come on in, please! Sink your toes into the grass and let your heart find rest among us here.

I’m Mary Beth Keenan. I am a writer, artist, and stay-at-home-mom. My soul feels most grounded and alive in the mountains, though the flash of a wildflower on a trail captures my wonder just as much as a vista. Rest is vitally important to me as a chronically ill creative, so I think of this space as the meadow you stop in for a snack break on a hike. A place to refuel, body, mind, and soul.

With our bodies resting and our breath calm, we are able to ponder about ecology, slowing down, beauty, justice, motherhood, creativity, and whatever captures our curiosity. Know that all of the threads that weave together your multitudes are welcome here. This meadow is meant to expand to hold us, no boxes to fit in in sight.

This is a place for taking a nature metaphor as far as it can go, a place to celebrate beauty emergencies, a place to acknowledge the challenges of our times, a place to rest in creativity, and so much more.

So please, go grab your favorite picnic blanket and book of poetry. Add your snacks to the stash in the middle and fill up your water bottle. Let the fresh air deeply fill your lungs. Greet our non-human kin. And do stay awhile.
